KOLORO EPO Oxide Yellow 50 g
KOLORO EPO pastes are used for tinting epoxy resins.
KOLORO EPO pastes contain pure, dry pigments dispersed in epoxy resin. KOLORO EPO pastes are easy to dose, contain no solvents, and can be mixed together to achieve different colors and color effects. The pastes do not change the final properties of the resin itself.
KOLORO EPO paste is mixed into component A and only then is the correct amount of component B added.
KOLORO EPO pastes can color transparent resin into translucent or opaque colors. The translucency or opacity of the color depends on several factors:
- The amount of paste (standard dosing is approx. 0.1 to 2% by weight of resin – less pigment paste means greater translucency, more pigment paste means greater opacity)
- The pigment in the paste (pastes with oxide pigments are more opaque)
- The thickness of the resin layer (a thicker layer requires less pigment paste for opaque color)
- Fillers in the resin (if the resin contains fillers, it is harder to achieve translucency)
The pastes are very concentrated, we add them at approx. 0.1 – 5% by weight of resin. When adding more pigment paste, it is necessary to consider the changed weight of component A.
KOLORO EPO pastes can be lightened by adding KOLORO EPO paste OXIDE WHITE or KOLORO EPO paste TRANSLUCENT WHITE and darkened by adding KOLORO EPO paste OXIDE BLACK.
